Luongo again is the difference for Canucks

Minnesota Wild came into the Vancouver Canucks game with the second ranked penalty kill and fourth ranked power play in the NHL. But the game will not go into their favor since there were way too many weird penalties that produced more then 80% of the offence, with the Sedin line leading the charge. Most of the night it felt not only to the fans, but to the players playing and the media covering the game that it was at best, very hard to distinguish where the line between fair and foul was. Vancouver Canucks got the needed break when Pascal Dupuis goal was not allowed since Roberto Luongo fell backwards inside the net on top of the puck and the video review was not able to clearly see the puck being inside the net. The video review of this play took so long to be finished that it felt like it took forever. Once again Roberto Luongo play made the difference into the game since midway through the game Minnesota Wild were leading 17-7 in shots and by the end of the game Minnesota Wild outshoot the Vancouver Canucks 29-18. First goal was scored by Vancouver Canucks player Trevor Linden in the first period at 15:30 with the assists going to Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin. Second goal of the game was scored by Minnesota Wild player Pavol Demitra in the second period at 2:29 with the assists going to Kim Johnsson. The third and last goal of the game was scored by Vancouver Canucks player Mattias Ohlund in the third period at 9:04 with the assists going to Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin. After the game during the post game interviews Daniel Sedin of Vancouver Canucks said “that the Vancouver Canucks play difference is the players are now more used to each other and are getting scoring from different players from the team”. During the Vancouver Canucks Rory Fitzpatrick interview he said “that he doesn’t feel any more pressure but enjoys it, with the NHL fans rallying to vote for him and to send him to the All Star game since he didn’t start it and he doesn’t really know why they started it for him”. When asked is there any message that he wants to send to the fans he said “he thinks is great and said thanks to all the fans for putting the time and effort into it. He went on and said he hopes everyone is having fun and whatever their point is, that they will get it across to the NHL, if they want to change the way NHL vote is he guesses”. During the Vancouver Canucks Head Coach media conference he said that Vancouver was lucky to get the win since they were outplayed and outshoot by Minnesota Wild. He also specially praised once again Roberto Luongo play and the fact that his solid play especially during the second period that Vancouver Canucks were still into the game and then manage to win it by the end of the game.
