Fighting helps Giants to win

The fight between Vancouver Giants J.D. Watt and Saskatoon Blades Chris Cloud was the turning point of the game The game between Vancouver Giants vs. Saskatoon Blades started off by Saskatoon being the better side for the first period. Second period was the turning point of the game which came after the fight between Vancouver Giants J.D. Watt and Saskatoon Blades Chris Cloud. After this fight the Vancouver Giants found new energy and then just took charge. During the third period the Vancouver Giants were the better side. First goal was scored by Colton Gillies in first period at 11:08 the assists went to Rastislav Konecny and Ryan Menei. Second goal of the game was scored by Spencer Machacek in third period at 5:05 the assists went to Brendan Mikkelson and Cody Franson. Third goal and the final goal of the game was scored by Milan Lucic the assists went to Spencer Machacek and Cody Franson. After the game during the post game interviews Vancouver Giants Head Coach Don Hay said that Vancouver played soft and not hard enough in the first period, really started coming on during the second period and the Watt fight really energized the entire team and in the third period they stuck to the plan and wore Saskatoon Blades down by the end of the game. Saskatoon Bladesa Head Coach Lorne Molleken said his team competed really hard and that is the reason that Vancouver didn’t generate enough scoring chances, the fight was not the turning point but unnecessary penalties resulting in the first goal for Vancouver Giants was the turning point. Mr. Lorne Molleken also said that the Saskatoon Blades are a very good team and made him proud on how they played but the real reason was that real good teams find a way to win and that’s exactly what happened in this game.
