The fight between Vancouver Giants
J.D. Watt and Saskatoon Blades Chris Cloud was the
turning point of the game The game between Vancouver
Giants vs. Saskatoon Blades started off by Saskatoon
being the better side for the first period. Second
period was the turning point of the game which came
after the fight between Vancouver Giants J.D. Watt
and Saskatoon Blades Chris Cloud. After this fight
the Vancouver Giants found new energy and then just
took charge. During the third period the Vancouver
Giants were the better side. First goal was scored

went to Rastislav Konecny and Ryan Menei. Second goal

the game was scored by Milan Lucic the assists went
to Spencer Machacek and Cody Franson. After the game
during the post game interviews Vancouver Giants Head
Coach Don Hay said that Vancouver played soft and
not hard enough in the first period, really started
coming on during the second period and the Watt fight
really energized the entire team and in the third
period they stuck to the plan and wore Saskatoon Blades
down by the end of the game. Saskatoon Bladesa Head
Coach Lorne Molleken said his team competed really
hard and that is the reason that Vancouver didn’t
generate enough scoring chances, the fight was not
the turning point but unnecessary penalties resulting
in the first goal for Vancouver Giants was the turning
point. Mr. Lorne Molleken also said that the Saskatoon
Blades are a very good team and made him proud on
how they played but the real reason was that real
good teams find a way to win and that’s exactly what
happened in this game.
