The first period was pretty even going back and fourth offense wise but no goals being scored. It was during the end period that the Vancouver Giants scored their first goal of the game and that seemed to have sparked a turned point in the game. Vancouver Giants pressed from that time on till the end of the game almost all the time Kelowna Rockets to the point that the final shots count was 34 to 13 in favor for Vancouver Giants. In the process of this easy win for Vancouver Giants they increased their lead atop the B.C. Division standings with a record of 24-5-2-2. First goal was scored by Vancouver Giants Michal Repik in second period at 4:46 the assists went to Spencer Machacek and Tyson Sexsmith. Second goal of the game was scored by Vancouver Giants Milan Lucic in second period at 19:55 the assists went to J.D. Watt and Cody Franson. The third goal of the game was scored by Vancouver Giants Cody Franson in the third period at 6:06 PP the assist went to Tim Kraus. The fourth and last goal of the game was scored by Vancouver Giants James Wright in third period at 10:20 the assists went to Milan Lucic and Kyle Lamb. After the game during the post game interviews Vancouver Giants Head Coach said that he thought his team defense as a group did a very good job not only not allowing Kelowna many chances but moving up the puck very quickly. Kelowna Rockets Head Coach thought that his team didn’t play very good and that it didn’t fight for the puck as hard as they should, let Vancouver walk to many times inside their end zone and that the team overall didn’t seem to take the game that seriously. He did say that Kelowna played the night before against Everet very well and with much more passion. He praised his team goalie Kristofer Westblom for keeping the team into the games and playing with full confidence. About Kaspars Saulietis being part of the 6 player trade between his team Kelowna and Regina Pats he would only say that he wanted the team to get younger and Saulietis knows the reasons behind the trade.
