Luongo and Smith shine Michail Boncea (HV) A game where both goalies made the difference The game between Vancouver
Canucks and Dallas Stars was a hard fought back and fourth checking
style game. It had plenty of really good scoring chances and lots of
shots but both the Vancouver Canucks Goalie Roberto Luongo and Dallas
Stars Mike Smith played exceptionally well. In the end with less then
1 minute left in regular time of the 3rd period Vancouver Canucks scores
a goal through Taylor Payett and they win the game. First goal was scored
by Vancouver Canucks Kevin Bieksa in first period at 9:28 the assists
went to Alexander Edler and Roberto Luongo. Second goal of the game
was scored by Dallas Stars Eric Lindros in second period at 6:43 the
assists went to Mike Modano and Sergei Zubov. The third and final goal
of the game was scored by Vancouver Canucks Taylor Pyatt in the third
period at 19:15 and the assists went to Mattias Ohlund and Henrik Sedin.
After the game during the post game interviews Vancouver Canucks Head
Coach said that he is concerned with the fact Vancouver Canucks can’t
seem to score and that it will mean that they (the players) will have
to go back to the basics.
