Matt Lashoff, a young Boston Bruins prospect who played his junior hockey with the Kitchener Rangers was the toast of the AHL All-Star Skills Competition. All because of one beautiful move. This particular play happened during the relay, where players go in on a breakaway shoot and get back to the blue line as quick as they can so the next player can go.

Lashoff went in on the breakaway and pulled off a truly astonishing move. It was quite similar to the ever popular between the legs move, but Lashoff had a twist to it. He put the puck between his legs, and instead of putting the stick between his legs he shot it from behind his back! This adding another goal to Planet USA ’s skills competition total as Planet USA won the competition by a score of 19-14.

Lashoff currently plays for the Providence Bruins where he has, 6 goals and 13 assists in 31 games. That’s good enough to place him 30th amount defenseman for scoring, and Lashoff has played fewer games than all AHL defensemen with the exception of Dustin Byfuglien. Byfuglien also suited up for Planet USA .

Byfuglien has scored 10 goals and added 15 assists for the Norfolk Admirals this year. During the skills competition Byfuglien won the event for the hardest shot. He released a slap shot clocked at 98.7.
