Raitis Ivanans has played in all but one game of the Los Angeles Kings' preseason games. They have two more including another matchup with Colorado at the Frozen Fury in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, September 22nd.

The Kings have won two games and lost two. "Training camp was short. We've played a lot of games. Preseason is going well and we are looking forward to playing in Las Vegas," Raitis said when asked about training camp. Raitis said he does not know if there are any contenders for his position. He says he is just doing what he's gotta do. When I asked Raitis how confident he was that he will maintain a spot on the roster he said he will wait till season starts as he does not know but he is staying positive. Raitis has not had any fights with team-mates during training camp nor pre-season.

So far during preseason, he has fought Brad Norton of San Jose and also Dale Purinton of Colorado. During the summer, Raitis worked on conditioning and strength. He feels confident about the upcoming season. A newcomer for the Colorado Avalanche, Dale Purinton, jumped Raitis from behind. Raitis had these remarks regarding the situation: "I think it's gutless. I have no respect for those kind of guys. I think they are insecure and shouldn't be playing like that." Purinton was given four penalties totaling 27 minutes for the first period incident.

The Kings will begin regular season on September 29th when they host the Anaheim Ducks.
